was browsing thru my older posts and i realise how easily agitated, how show-off, how insensitive i was last time
but i am proud to claim that almost everything has changed now
(except the fact that i am a little unrealistic sometimes)
and no, i wouldnt delete those embarrassing posts because they will serve as a good reminder to me

there are times where you didnt like a new song the first time you hear it but coincidentally, u kept hearing it being played and u slowly fell in love with it.

and one of these songs is 'Forever and Always' by Parachute
i have never been a fan of romantic songs but this song just got me liking them
the music is smoothing, the singing is not too gay nor too hoarse and the overall is just sweet
moreover, the lyrics being factual just make the song even more perfect.

back here with a post not because i wanted to but because i have nth to do while waiting for my 11pm match

many things have changed, and people come and go since the last time i posted on this random blog
but i think i have changed for the better

school's not worth talking about especially since the environment's really stressful and some of the people are by default selfish
i admit i am selfish too but at least i am responsible
well, being responsible makes a big difference cause it translates to a fact that people dun have to clear the mess u leave behind; u clear it up first before you go.
on a brighter note, i did well for my exams and i have to admit, good results only come with hardwork. ._. (maybe with a little bit of luck too)

friends, on the other hand, is a more interesting topic
over the past 1 month of holidays, i am grateful to my dear close friends for bringing me surprise, fun, laughter and joy and to prevent me from rotting at home
though its always the same few close friends but things nvr get dull because we enjoy having each other's company
even to the extent that doing something boring would become interesting (no solid example but thats how i look at it)
thats true friends right?
people who will tell u u are ugly when u look like shit
or simply put, people who dun take ur friendship for granted.

and looking on the bright side, i am finally 21!
*pops champagne!
then after a while, so that's it?
haha, another overrated milestone in our life
not to forget, thank you to my family and friends for the memorable day (coupled with some not-very-memorable stuff...)

i always hear people saying,'Travelling calms your soul, opens you up to the world.'
and after my Indo/Bandung/Bali trip, i carn agree more
though the trip was with my newly met uni friends, but throughout the trip, i felt really satisfied and have never regretted spending the long 7 days (not enough) with them

the mountains thr was nth i could have imagined if i stayed in SG
the traffic thr made me treasure SG's
the restaurant food thr made SG's look like a shame
the activities we had thr made SG's look so boring, even sleeping (and hoping to dream about that place) was more interesting
the companion thr was really enjoyable
the accomodation thr was eye-opening
in all, it was more of a 'blast', yes, just like the 'Bali Blast'.

and now it have all ended, i hope we can still hang around together more often and embark on more trips because it was like one of the few roller-coaster rides that i have really enjoyed.

well, i have never really felt the impact of travelling until this Bali trip and it hit me hard
travelling really calms me down and gave me lots of fun and yet at the same time, allowed me to reflect on my own life
yes, the opportunity was much appreciated especially since the new year is here. :)

Last, for the new year,
i have made some promises to myself
things where i have previously tell myself numerous times not to do/commit again and yet i still do/commit, this time round, i promise i wouldnt do them again
and aspirations that i should start to work towards, i will.
(such as opening my own cosy shop and chilling in it everyday, ok yes its not realistic)

yes, we are all grown up, and its time to live our lives as adults.
(and also start planning for more overseas trips. :D)

They say uni life will change a person but it all depends on whether the person is willing to be changed...

School haven't start yet but now i am already going back on a regular basis for rag.
Ok, its not very regular but at least i do consider about it whenever i am free.
and somemore, i stay in Pasir ris!!!

Alright, frankly speaking, i do have motives for going down (u guessed it)
well, its partly to widen up my social circle because those who go down are definitely the more spontaneous bunch and why not know them?
and also because Rag is something really cool and what our sch is good at!
and somemore it ends on 9th August so my studies will probably not be affected. (and btw, its a come-when-are-free-thing)
But, there are definitely ppl who are there just for their own benefits,
or people who think that its a bore
or people who just keep to themselves and rot-on-their-own?
Cmon ppl, this is uni, if not now, then when will u experience such a vibrant student's type of life again? -.-

Luckily these type of people dun exist in my OG
cause i think my OG had been really good, opening up themselves really well and to date we already have like 3 OG outings in a short span of like 2 weeks? COOL.
and as usual, those clubbers/drinkers/party-goers will definitely be damn on and stayed on for a drink
(just to let you know, i classify myself as a drinker :D)
the most recent one was at somewhr near clarke quay and it was hell of a ride man!
the games we play, the food we had and the drinks we 'ta' was all worth the time and money spent!
imagine pumping and then drink beer damndamndamn fast...
and it was also the night that i saw ppl getting high/all shagged out just by drinking beer! =.=
(and apparently she said she is damn good at holding her liquor but this session totally exposed her lies! haha!)
and then that day just ended really early
was really tired after that but i am still clear-minded
the whole outing just enlightened me that people we see/know in school might not be the same people we meet outside.

well, guess i have to explore more on my own when school reopens.
But firstly, i will have to promise that i'll be myself and not some hypocrite who acts himself out just to poach some big fish. :D

just because it feels really good to poach some big fish just by being yourself. :P

If u dunch know what that stands for, its actually the format i needa key in whenever i leave a note in my computer system while working at Starhub. haha.

And i am proud to declare that it is coming to an end!
Official last day is on 7th July Thursday!
After that, i can slack as much as i want and enjoy school life completely!
Gees, i dun even know/understand how i can tahan working at SH for so long man, shit.

Ok, that was just a declaration/announcement from me.
And its been LONG (yet again) since i last posted.

Well, been through a pretty memorable period for the past 1 week u see.
just to recap, last week, i was at my School Camp, SDE FOC.
and though as usual it had a very slow and rough start but the camp got better gradually along the way as the members in the groups all bonded better together and it was really FUN!

And here is how it goes,

First day was slow and tough because of our barang barang and 'sian' feeling because u dunch know what to expect
but luckily i went to the camp with my good fren joshua and we had a good chat along the way so thats pretty enjoyable
Then, once everyone gathered, we went through some opening speech, videos and introductions and was told that this camp sort of adopt a tribal theme.

So the main 4 grps were Azura, Asaki, 'Ayota' (dun really know how to spell' and Akuma, in blue, yellow, green and red respectively
I was in Azura, group G (Gavrila) and josh was in the same grp as me, kinda cool because the probability we are in the same hse, same OG is really pretty low.
Then, the outdoor games started for our grp where we had to play many outdoor games under the bloody hot sun
those games were 'piggy-back floorball, captain's ball using sponge as ball, blow-through-pipe-fill-with-juice game, put-stockings-over-head-game and a couple more'
they do seem weird but were surprisingly fun and the best is, we got first!
Do u know how great it was because the first team was rewarded with one cup of KOI MILK TEA each (while the others looked on), and i swear that was one of the most defining moment of the camp!

2nd day was Amazing Race around the west area of singapore
same thing applies, running under the hottt sun
and somemore we have to climb up the hendorson wave bridge to play games, dont't they know how close the bridge brought everyone to the sun? and carn they feel how bloody hot it was?
(this was the only thing that turned me off, maybe they want malays so badly in their course that they...)
next highlight was our last station at VIVO,
where each of the grp had to come up with a MTV based on a preferred song
our group chose 'Our Heart Will Go On' because they says its the easiest song to sing to
so as usual, another cranky dude and i were sort of sabo to do some couple dance that followed the titanic theme
well, it was pretty paiseh but its for the fun of the camp! haha!
and now as i looked back at the mtv in my memory, the 'couple dance' we did while the rest of the group was singing the titanic song, it was really unforgettable!

(Also the highlight of the 2nd day was a special revealation that one of the freshie in each group is actually not a freshie! And i got that correct because that 'freshie', Vivian, was way too enthu within the group on the first day. BUT, i was shocked when another guy, who i thought was a freshie, because he got this blur look, was actually a YEAR 3 student! And he was also a Ex-PD (organiser of the camp) for the previous years! Dang, Yu Qian, u got me there!)

3rd day was Sentosa day, where we, ONCE AGAIN, have to play games under the hot sun ._.
activities at sentosa day were more fun because the group were closer to each other thus we were able to play as a group better
but, probably due to lack of sleep (we had only accumulated 10 hrs of sleep over the past 2 days),
our grp did not do very well for the games
well, winning is not everything they say and it is true! Enjoying is! :D
Then, at the end of the day, our group gathered in a random corner in the school and played 'truth or dare' game.
Well, the 'dare' got boring because it was late at night and there was nth much to do, so everyone had to play truth, haha!
And that night was a night of revealation, eye-candys, who u wanna shoot, shag and marry, preferred guy/girl in group...and so this lasted till 430am before we all dig in for a good night sleep.

Last day was the day where we all had the longest amount of rest solid 10 hrs!
and i also managed to grab a bite at the MACS in my school
apparently, uni fast food is really cheap! (Looks like i dun really have to wrry about food next time.)
After that was packing up and dressing up and getting ourselves ready for the finale!

CLUBBING AT AVATAR!

Well, the club was good, gives me a comfy feel with all your friends arnd
i had a couple of drinks, bourben coke, grape whiskey blah blah blah but i am glad they didnt bring me down!
and also that night was defining because we managed to know our 'SP'
(stands for secret partner of opposite sex who we played games with while blindfolded throughout the camp)
and my SP was exactly what i thought to be, sweet and easy to talk to.
but we were both shy and we didnt talk much haha

then next was the clubbing part where they blast lots of nice songs and everyone began to get high
u can see guys and girls all squeezing with each other on the small stage and grooving to the music together
(and really, i have to admit, my school got really a lot of hot clubbing girls man)
Being a drink lover, i too drank a lot and danced around like no one's business

Boy, it was really fun man! I really felt like i ended my camp with a bang! :D

Went home after that and while waiting for a cab, i saw a couple of boy/girls trying to get a cab together
and upon a closer look, you could see that the guy is trying to support the girl because she is all shagged out
i mean, why drink so much if u cnnt take it!?
Is it really worth to risk your safety just because you want to party hard?
I mean, i really pity them man because its a freshman camp and they lost themselves even before school start?
Well, none of my business but that just backed up my decision to not date a clubber EVER. :D

After this camp, i admit that i was wrong to think that camp was a bore.
I used to think that making new friends was a chore and would avoid it if i can
but after all the fun i had, i think i am really wrong! ._.
i mean, its really impt because we will be studying in the same place for 4 years and if we dun socialise much, our uni lives will be a bore without much sparks!
And so, i am really glad to turn up for this camp, this memorable camp.

I hope i can find as much fun in studying too! :D

I am supposed to be sleeping right now but i just wanna come up here and vent.

After living for 20 years on this pretty world,
i dunno why i still carn live a life without regrets
i often spend on impulse, miss opportunities because of ego, or even develop the wrong habits...
Cmon, sometimes i really just wanna record a reminder,'Do not regret your actions.' and play it like umpteen times in my ear to remind myself...

Take for example, my finance.
right now, just right now, i can do anything (legal) just to earn an extra buck
thats because i know i will spend like fark during uni, i will spend to pample myself to up my market value and i will spend in my pursuit of that holy degree. DAMN.
but still, i spend very very impulsively on stuff that i do not need,
stuff that i felt like selling one week i bought, stuff that do not suit me at all!
Shit man.

i think i really need to save some extra cash up.
i will really thank the person who can teach me how to make money, preferably out of nothing. :X

Back from hiatus for so long, i am proud to declare that i finally decided to blog.
Its been a while for me out there,
slogging my guts out over unpredictable phonecalls and over a-tasty-9-bucks-per-hr deal.
and it really shagged me SO out that i didnt have much time for family, interests, and friends.
How sad, money really makes the world go eff-ing round.

Over this few mths, i ORD-ed, i worked, and i led a pretty much boring life
So boring, that its boring to talk about it.
Working at starhub was one hell of an experience,
no doubt it hardens me as an individual, trains me well to multitask well,
but the money there is really not easy to earn.
Apart from all the different nasty calls i have had (to me, all calls are nasty because they dun allow me to chill), i had another shocking experience too.

'A guy expressed interest in me.' Hmmm.

Actually at first i kinda think of it as a joke but well, he started getting all too serious about it so i made my stand clear. Haha!
Then he sent me this sms that explained his interest and i replied to him in a way a friend would.
So, that kinda clears things up.
Come to think of it, in this open society, really anything can happen.
But still, he looks perfectly normal and kinda handsome, so i really hoped he was just kidding about it.
(whats so bad about liking girls?)

And also in this past few months,
i went overseas with my precious good old friends/bros and it was darn fun
it was a simple yet fulfilling trip
and to top it up, we took a ride to our destination in an almost ancient transport, train-to!
We ate, we joked, we had fun and we revealed.
Revealed the secrets, regrets in us via playing the truth or dare game. (everyone chose truth cause u wun want to do the dare they are capable of to set)
and my secrets were all poured out that night...

Then in the past few mths,
in fact just ytd night,
i had a meet up with my dear secondary sch clique
i am admit its a very fun clique to be in because we are all so understanding, caring and natural to each other
like all the HTHT and expression/declaration of LOVE...haha
also food we had was really good, and u can say the company was the icing on the cake.
like they always say,'spend your time wisely' and i am sure i did yesterday night.
Cheers to our friendships!

but other than all these 'happenings'
i was actually troubled by certain issues.
And its obvious that its all related to UNI which is coming up next in my life, isnt it?
Expenditure, accomodation, fitting into the life there, reaching my aims issues blah blah...

Out of all this, i think finance issue is the hardest to tackle.
Well, i am in my 21st yr on this world and i find that my expenses are generally increasing.
Better clothes, shoes, food, FOOD, FOOD and more FOOD.
(Fucking food that i eat are really getting more and more expensive la...grrrr...)
and, the damn uni still raise their hostel fees,
seriously they are just pointing guns in my face
But that how life is, it sucks for us poor noobies. (now u know why am i slogging my guts out at SH)
So, my daily expenditure plus those extras that i am sure i will incur (like outings with uni friends, club, pub, drink) will really weigh down on me man.
Time to get ready for some half study, half work yo. (FML.)

On a side note, just to boast, i just bought my BIRKENSTOCKS! Whoosh!
(but i think i gotta hide them well, if not my mum will rape me upside down if she knows that it 100+ bucks)
Well i carn blame her for that because i have been wasting money on some things that i didnt use/wear, hmmm, how i wish i can refund or sell all those outcasted stuff man. (any suggestions other than ebay? :D)

Alrights, looks like i am done with what i wanna express already.
Next up, really looking forward to uni's exciting life.
Hope its really as fun as it seems. :)

Happy New Year to all! (if there are any readers at all...)

2011 started off with a bang for me because i've been earning quite a bit from 'angbaos', gambling, and etc...
also, as usual, i went back to Malaysia to celebrate New Year there and boy, it was fun!
had some heart to heart talk with cousins i've not seen for the past one year,
had fun lighting up crackers and mini 'fireworks'
derive enjoyment from all the big 'angbaos',
had lots of baby-moments, where i just played with and cuddle those cute little kids arnd the hse
and that to me, is a pretty can't-find-in-singapore experience.

HOWEVER, i would definitely ask for heaven's help in curbing the flood that will cover my hometown soon (slowly). Maybe all the water get evaporated so that everyone can enjoy a happy new year celebration!

Then's all the hype about ORD!
yeah, i can't deny i've had an electrifying experience for the past 22 months,
i can't deny there are times i couldnt let this NSF status go,
and there are times where i felt proud to be wearing a SMART 4.
But, guess as they say, 'all good things come to an end' and since i have only 3(?) days left, i will only remind myself of the good experiences i've had and put those worries/troubles/burdens i've faced behind me.
What doesnt bring me down makes me stronger. Nicely.
Still, being a civilian rocks more than anything
AND, ORD LO!

2011, i've had pretty much hopes in this year for myself.
Would definitely love to get a quick-buck job straight after ORD,
GET BOA TO COME SINGAPORE FOR A SOLO CONCERT (can't wait to see her dance live)
get accepted into FASS (?),
meet more friends and NOT MISS OUT ON UNI BBALL TRIALS AND ARTS CAMP!
strike some lottery and get fundings for my headphones: SENNHEISER HD 598 (fking 399, hope prices drop by year end....)
get my driving license,
able to cope with studies and all-the-other-bullshit-that-comes-naturally-in-NUS,
enjoy HOSTEL-LIFE YO (but maybe at most for half a year I PROMISE)
and enjoy a HAPPY JOYOUS WELL-BONDED FAMILY that will last through all obstacles that comes (if they do)
and every other hopes that come to my mind after writing this post, haha!

dang, and speaking of ORD coming so quickly,
i think my 21st birthday will come even quicker.
Its significant for me and i do hope it will be a memorable one this year!

Army boys love this period,
the 'clear leave, take off, go holiday' lovely mushy period

had a topsy turvy, messy month in nov,
where things just piled up in front of u,
waiting for u to clear it
for me, i find it my army life pretty boring after Nov because a large chunk of my motivation went missing
Ord-ed as they call it
So i felt bored when i didnt have the usual whole platoon to talk to, to tease, to hang around with, to tank shit together with and etc
and that was my down period in nov.

then things worsened when we had 2 major activities to settle before we can go for our break
been busy every single for the 1st activity
and i slacked a bit for the 2nd
where i realised that life's pretty hard to get by if u dun enjoy what u are doing,
better still, i dun even know what i can gain from doing the 2nd activity. 0,0

next came the UP period which was a trip to Melaka with my mum
she was on a paid trip sponsered by her company and wanted me as a companion
well i took the chance to get myself more in touch with the civilian life so i tagged along
paid quite a sum for the weekend trip but man, it was all worth it
food was well planned, eating at least a 8-course meal for every meal,
shopping was satisfying because M'sia Jusco is just so damn effing freaking big
tour visits that i wanted to do without were kept at a minimum
accomodation was impressive because they booked the VIPS rooms for the whole lot of us
(so we had access to their exclusive lounge which serves unlimited amt. of wine, snack treats, italian food from noon to evening!)
OWNAGE.
and lastly the entire trip was enjoyable because of my mum's friendly colleagues, good traffic and order in Melaka and good treatment we felt.
Literally a short and sweet trip. :D

that roughly sums up my Nov.
and i hope my next month will be as fruitful too.

since i am on off, and i am not going out,
i decided to drop by and write some things down here.
the so called 'keep tracking of youth or army life.'

i used to think that army was a total bore,
total waste of my life,
but in the previous week, i came to realise that theres benefits to it!
through it, i managed to work in F1 ops as a 'sweeper'
and i had fun!
i managed to work with the sect. comm (who were all regs.)
and i even took a ride in their POLICE van. Hows that?
(thats if u can tahan ppl lookin at u as if u are a prisoner haha!)

ok other than that,
was all the routined duties we have to carry out
and since it was my first time at the f1 pit,
i nearly went deaf from all sorts noise made by the cars
i was nearly KO-ed from all the tiring work
i managed to catch a glimpse of a few superstars, jensen button, michibata, sebastian vettel... (but i missed a golden oppor. to take a shot with michibata cause i went home too early! awww man)
i managed to see Tamiya Parts come to life, and was also offered to take a seat in one of ForceIndia cars (but we didnt cause we were in working attire and partly because we were shy! haha!)
i got to ride the flyer twice as part of my routine (mind you, its not cheap for a ride)
and many many more small delights that i cant possibly finish listing!

so, thanks to SAF for opening my eyes to the behind-the-scenes of F1!
(which i think i deserve for all the sweat produced in that 3 days)

dear blog, since last monday onwards, i realise i am like a wet cloth. They present me as an answer to dirt, dust and shit, just throwing me to deal with the outcasted jobs. And seeing that i am wet, they just keep squeezing me, wanting to ooze out all the juices they can get out of me. Horrible life i am living me i tell ya.

however, i am glad that i manage to rekindle the passion for basketball within me, even to the extent of buying a ball and shoes without much consideration. With great earnings come great expenditure (^^) and with a competition upcoming, hopefully i can contribute in someway or another.

and more, i heard about an amazing (or maybe surprising instead) fact about humans. She says that everyone around us have a bubble around us, an imaginary one which keeps us away from others. Thats why the distance between people in any particular place/activity, classrooms, discussions, dinner, toilet urinals etc. Then for guys, our bubble will naturally be bigger (probably due to ego) and thus the bigger distance between us and others. So when others intrude this bubble by coming close to you, within 1-6 inches from you, u will naturally shift away from him to feel more comfortable. In the process, you are actually keeping ur bubble intact subconciously. Cool huh, we the bubbly humans. :D

With great power, comes great responsibility.
no wonder life's been busier ever since i got promoted on last wed
but that will not make me regret having the 'rooftop' on my rank
because i really earned for it
and thus now, i must live up to my rank and my potential.

However, it was a bad time to get the new rank though
getting it way earlier than some seniors who were more capable than me was just unfair to them
but as they said,
"life's unfair and is always unjustifiable"
guess i have to just swallow all my guilt back in
and set a good example

Life in the army's been rather smooth for me till now
and i hope things will remain this way as i perservere all the way to ORD date. :)

i just can't believe theres actually youngsters who would bet 100 buck on a game,
just hoping to win like 20 bucks?
With those pathetic odds, i think working for the 20 bucks is much more worth it lo

as many times as i tell myself to refrain from betting,

i need a lock for my atm card
the rate at which i am drawing money is really scary
i remember i used to be able to control my expenditure, but thats 'used to'.
now i am a little changed.
probably due to the larger amt i earned from SAF
i spend more frequently, and without much hesitation
(with greater earning, comes greater spending, true.)
certainly not the way i want things to turn out.
i don't just wanna waste my money on wants. :S

this week was outings with friends
pc cohesion on thurs was just another ordinary outing, hopeful for something exciting to happen but nth came up.
maybe the only thing worth mentioning was that i played mahjong and was one tile away from game-ing the '13 ones' in a game
so near, YET SO FAR.

then was outing with 7-teens to celebrate f2 and bren's belated birthdays
had a great time catching up with their exciting uni life
and updating myself with their 'status'
(either single or 'double' lols)
i must say the more i look at them, the more i envy the freedom they have.
4 months of holidays, somewhat exciting school-life,
they are making me so envious.
come to me, FEB 10th 2011!

and i am given 1 week's break from camp,
which i have decided to spend on some shopping, gathering and READING! :D

army enhances me.
over this period of 13 months,
i have learnt to be a better planner, a more efficient leader and a smarter worker
my tactics of being a soft leader work pretty well too,
allowing me to gel better with my comrades.

this experience is making me lean towards the army instead of the civilian life
now i would constantly think of the upcoming things in camp even when i am at home,
and i don't feel as sad as i was for the previous 6 months whenever i booked in
the most shocking thing was i realised i felt nothing at all after my brother ORD-ed yesterday
i thought it was just like his typical book out day.
holy change in perspective to army -.-

no doubt at my urge to regain my civilian status asap,
but my friends in camp and those learning opportunities are reasons i can't bear to part with
and only when these positive experiences elude me,
will i be willing to leave the army industry.

been having a routined life this few months
partly because of the lack of some soul-buddies that will accompany to everywhr
not much hype except for some outings with my platoon, window shopping with friends and thats all. (thats all?...)
i think it has got something to do with this month, bad month
in this single eff-ing month,
life's got tougher to pass by in my second home and friends are nowhere to be found when u need them!
just to quote how bad this month was,
even our famous sentosa was filled with KIDS! (yes, K-I-D-S.)
not those cool ones but those who runs around playing with girl's hairband and stuff like that, tryin to attract attention... (yeah yeah, i did that before :x)

and recently because of the jack neo's shit story,
i've seen and heard of many love-related stories
one was about how he fell in love with the girl whom he ranks at the btm of his choice-list
and then he broke up with her but soon saw her with another guy behaving intimately
eff-ed up luck.

then there's another one who found 'true' love while partying away
not much talk, just exchange numbers, straight forward.
whats behind the big picture?

the last one is about a violent couple who had mood swings as and when they like to
well its definitely hard to find a day where both the coasts are clear
hardcore business to begin, deal and end with.

pretty interesting facts for me
at least these stories are more engaging than jack's flings with young girls. (nono, not chicks pls)
and lucky for singles,
we have none of these problems to deal with.
we'll just eat, sleep, play and 'bio' as we like. :D

New year must come with a new vision and,
my vision for the new year is to toughen up!
heh heh

come to think of it,
there are really times when we have to give in to avoid conflicts
it sucks to lose out in terms of number though
a typical incident would be me not wanting to tag along with rest for some particular outing and they would get angry or something
so in the end, i had to give in and tag along for the sake of it
sucks to be alone in such cases.
and that reminds me that i have actually gave in countless times just to avoid such conflicts
not sure why i end up being the victim but guess i am just too 'soft'
so gotta beef up this year and prove my worth! :X

and come to think of it,
i actually kinda like my current status,
not as young and immature as a typical student
not as stressed and competitive as a working adult
not as worried (about money matters) and uncertain as an normal adolescent
but disciplined and live life objectively like a typical NSF

Can anyone explain to me why are there so many weird people in Singapore,

just at tampines itself, i already saw a couple of them x(

first one was this ear-and-nose-digging old uncle on bus 168
thats pretty common you would say...
but if u see how he rubbed his hands clean on the 'railings' supports' on the bus,
i bet you would have wished you took another bus instead.

second one was this malay man at MACS
he seems normal at first, like getting up from his seat after his meal and walking to the exit...
but on his way out,
he began to use his hands to kinda like dig something out from his teeth
(maybe something got stuck?)
then, as he was doing the digging motion, he suddenly began to cry!
what?!
well, i was really shocked at seeing such a big man weep,
but the strange thing is, as soon as he stepped out of Macs,
he stopped all his eccentric actions and walked off as if nth happened!
Just for laugh gags? Think again.

third one was epic
it just reflects how how rash/stupid a minority of the Y Gen could be
there were 2 of them,
2 adolescents who dressed themselves up in bright-coloured skinny jeans, flashy tops, wear bling bling earrings, purple/red coloured adidas hip-hop shoes and walked thinking they looked really cool...
damn.
to make things worse, one of them wears his hat in the way Taeyang wore his, but too bad,
that joker made his hat slide down so much that it was literally covering half his face (diagonally)

too bad it reminds me of youths who don't look at themselves in the mirror after they dressed up

which, with its attractive offers, manage to convince me that its (really) time that i get a new mp3 player :S

sitting on the fence for 3 months long was tough man

then, its all about transferring korean songs into my new toy
apparently when i was using my old mp3 last time, i used to sample my songs before i put them in because this helps me to save space u see (one less lousy song = one more good song)
what to do?
life really sucks with a 512 MB player x(
but i still appreciate it though,
it was one of those must-have for me to activate my MUGGING MODE xD
and it helped me to get out of a couple of 'Nothing to do' situations

oh, i promised myself to blog about this
on friday, when the SCTs went down to sitex to source for cheap deals and get our new toys,
we were nearly conned by some big company (trust u all to earn so much)
apparently, at this shop, we were offered a 18 bucks cut off from the usual price if we don't take the free gift, which was a travel adapter
ok...sounds good cause they are willing to slash the price, but we needed the adapter to charge dude
so this saleslady kept persuading us to get the adapter, and other free gifts, which she claimed was worth a good 50 bucks?
ok...sounds even better, but in the end, we told her we're gonna take a walk around
and in the end, i managed to get a price slash of 38 bucks off the usual price if i don't take the travel adapter as a free gift at another booth
and being typical singaporeans, we took it because it was a furthur decrease of 20 bucks and you wouldn't want to bargain anymore because its really malu.
so we bought our toy and we set off to look for the adapter
and we walked around and DAMN, we saw the same shit (which was being used by the first shop as a worthy free gift) being sold for a good $9.90. -.-
Main point: Lucky we didnt buy from the first shop. :D

this shows how first hand info allows you to gain an adv. in the market
the sellers deal with the media players, they know whr to get the cheap chargers and so they make use of the gap between the amount of info they and their buyers have to earn extra profits
and sadly this gay logic or whatever applies to every market
you know your stuff, you win.

and also i can't stand new workers being pushed around by their bosses at such IT fairs
like when i was buying my chargers, this young lady serving us was being nagged at by her boss for being slow, blur etc even when she did nth wrong and i didnt even rushed her
so the boss was like scolding her and the lady just gave a pretty emo face like,"C'mon, just my second day here right?!" (reminds me of the time i was still a newbie at POPs)
dang, just let those new workers off dude!

Its amazing.

its amazing how kpop attracts me with their funky tune and sexy dancers/dances even though i can't understand a shit about what they are singing most of the time (except for the english title and some chorus in english)

its amazing how SNSD attracts me even though most of them went under the knife to carve out their goddess-like faces.
no doubt its artificial beauty, but the main point is they are beautiful people
they are with human hearts, hungry for success and work hard for it
they don't seem cocky even though they are really popular
they can really dance
and, they are really cute to look at.

its amazing how Topman never fails to attract me with their t-shirts.
u know whenever i pass by a Topman shop, i will always feel an urge to go in and buy a new t-shirt from it. (thats provided its of a nice colour and with a lovely design)
and true enough, i will buy one Topman t-shirt occasionally
well thats cause i realise cutting/design of shirts from Topman (and Fox) really suits me, not too baggy not too big, just nice u see.
pretty costly 'process'/trend i must admit.

its amazing how i am attracted to self-improvement books these days (or months)
i would spend 1 freaking hour of my book-out just loitherin at the library, searchin for a suitable book to keep me occupied for the next couple of weeks
but apparently, lady luck is not on my side!
i was actually finding a book called 'Freakonomics", (which i thought would be a very entertaining book) and i just couldn't find it despite its 'not on loan'
GRRR, now can someone lend it to me asap? :D
(and just to mention, i've finished 4 or 5 books already!)

its amazing how my life as a trainee, coupled with all the benefits, privileges and welfare is going to end soon.
and i will have to take on my role as a commander soon too, hope everything turns out fine.

Finally here comes a weekend with no mugging!!
such weekends are hard to come by...

Grand Slam.
was slammed pretty hard last week
and it rained damn eff-ing heavily on the last day....
srsly, if not for that, we might have a pretty good ending...
but still, the 2 biggest obstacles (field camps) are finally over!
hahaha.
aiya, field camps just suck the life out of me, thats why i hate them so much.

fell sick when i booked out this weekend.
apparently i had a diarrhoea, and some 'minor' sore throat so the doc decided to grant me 3 days of 'enlightenment'
lol.
so that means i will be missing out on the section live firing on monday then, sorry buddies. :/

book out has been great
was eating like a king-pig for the past 2 days, downed several cans of cokes and slept like there no more lights out.
(how great can that be?)

and i realise we humans are bad in appreciating things, due to inconsistency.
cause while at field camp, i was always thinking about a ice cold 100 plus every time i am damn shagged, to the extent that i wanted to marry it. (haha)
but, when i booked out, i immediately forgot about 100 plus and drank coke instead! HAHAHA! pretty bastard huh.

then today was spent with 4k people, meeting up, chill arnd and had a heavy lunch.
they went to watch 'public enemies' while benson and i strolled arnd and went home.
movie = no go (will sleep) :D

while choosing sub. combi, the qn came up
then to choosing uni, it came up again
and now when i am thinkin about post-BSLC, i saw the qn once again.

shit, i think i am overly indecisive,

i am really bad in visualising the path i will be taking,
and thats why my grp and i HOLLAN-DED (means go off track) during our exploration ex.
hope i can really learn skills on how to make fast decisions from army. :X

i feel it really "matures" one up,
and shapes him for the upcoming adulthood ahead
i really appreciate that,
and i guess i will have to look forward to the higher level of maturity i will be gaining in order to motivate myself on.

section outing today was pretty 'lame' la
went all the way to dhoby to catch a 3D monsters v aliens

its plainly because my sergeants dun swear and curse nor they punish us unneccesarily

Tuesday is the big day!
right from the start, the day's gonna be lethargic!

i just left my house and was on my way to West Plaza, hoping to get to the ATM machine ASAP.
the following night was to be spent at Junyi's house playing overnight mj (last game b4 the kay-kees enlist :D)
i rushed to the nearest ATM machine outside NTUC and it was off-ed.
Wtf? ATM machine off-ed? Must be kidding me, lucky there was another one out Kopitiam.
Time was 1110pm i guess.

i got to the ATM machine...
luckily no one's using. I had to rush all these cause i am catchin a bus 12 at 1130pm -.-
time's packed like sardines in a can
so, i inserted my ATM card in and entered my pin.
then i clicked on my Savings Account and typed $40.00.
after that, took my card back, kept it and i wait for my money.
'Is it enough' i was still wondering. But who cares, i can always withdraw again if i think its not enough. :)
Time was 1115pm as i was waiting for my money to come out.

A MINUTE LATER.
THE MACHINE SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN ON ITS OWN.

and there was this woman right beside me who's updating her bankbook, guess what.

IT WAS SUCH A DECISIVE MINUTE.

i was sweating like hell and cursing like crazy (inside my mind).
some nice people workin in the Kopitiam walked out to access my situation.
One nice auntie (who i think is a lady boss of one of the stall) walked up to me and asked me not to panic.
CMON, I'M LIKE SWEATING MORE THAN I'M PANICKING. GET THE MONEY OUT FOR ME, I'VE GOT A FUCKING BUS TO CHASE!
then they offered advice to me, asking me to call the POSB customer service hotline immediately.
i did.
and after some trouble and confirmation, i was reassured that $40.00 will be credited back into my account if i didnt take it. (well u see the problem is the money was dispensed already, and right afterwards, like 1 split second later, the electrical shortage occured, so by right, the money should have be 'taken')
thats why an investigation was needed. -.-
ALRIGHTS, I AM NOT LOSING MONEY. THATS GOOD.
BUT WAIT, I STILL DUN HAVE THE CASH ON ME! AND MY BUS? DAMN.

i should be happy about it, but still, i carn bear to leave that place
its been a whole new experience for me there at Pops

anw, it was fruitful (for me) because i managed to get the 'maritime' brochure from some random booth
at first i thought it was so unpopular that it didnt bother to set up a booth, but luckily my friends found it for me and the course sounds great! (sounds luh..)
mixture of economics, science, business, sounds like a 'cheap triple-degree', HAHA
but yes, i am really fascinated by it.
i mean, even if i am restricted to a small range of jobs next time, at least i know clearly whats there for me to choose from, like shipping industry work, management work or etc, rather than i go to some 'big' course like business which leaves me with such a wide range of jobs that i will have trouble choosing.
(guess i am the type of person who likes thing to be chosen for me, or rather, i hate to make choices)

and from the Open Houses,
i realised theres nth like 'boring courses' because i believe all courses can be interesting!
its in fact the lecturers and the students that will negatively influence u to believe that a particular course is wrong for u!
So i believe as long as one stands firm and have a passion for a particular course, it will be manageable.
(but we gotta admit that its hard to develop a passion for courses we know nuts about..)
well, thats the chain-linked problems many are facing, 'what uni to choose?', 'what courses to choose?', then 'whether the chosen course will be suitable?' and we carn run away from them

then recently,
news about friends' results just got to me
i realised there are a couple of ppl who didnt score that well and they still made an application for uni courses
good for them as they do know what they really want, (though some of them have no other choices..)
but either way, they have much more confidence than say, me.
for me, though my results is average, i am still not feeling confident of getting into my preferred course (where my results just meet the minimum criteria)
i took some effort to learn about the course and since only NTU offers it, i decided to go for it but i think i just carn take the blow of being rejected by it!
and theres nth i can do because all of them only know how to say, 'Requirements for course entry depend on demand and supply, demand and supply, demand and supply....' Gosh!
and thats why i am really troubled because i had to choose some back-up courses, which i will then face those chain-linked problems once again. AGAIN. =(

it really helps to ask for advice from someone whos in the 'business' (:

1) Maritime studies/NTU
2) Bio. Sci (TCM)/NTU
3) Bio. Engineering NUS/NTU (it sounds boring, well..)
4) Mathematical Science NTU
5) NIE (worse come to worst xD)

really hope that i can make it in to Maritime Studies cause i find it really interesting
and i pray that it dun require H2 physics! (hmmm..)
still, gotta make a trip down this weekend to check things out

i realise i love to criticise others.
especially about others being fat
this bad habit has always been with me
i would just call my mum 'fei zhu' when she put on weight
or i would just comment about how fat people takes up more space or etc

not that my work's affecting me or what,
but i always feel that i keep asking them to corporate with me rather than i giving in to them
and it sucks to be on the receiving end in this case because theres just this 'sucky' feeling

however, this type of 'repays' don't work that well here

been workin for a while and that gave me a clearer picture about Singapore's society
not that i've been reading up books about her,
but its the "serving" part of the job that exposed Singaporeans

1.one impt thing is Singaporeans are very realistic
they understand u from your face, and they don't look beyond
they don't want to know whats hidden behind that cheerful face of yours because they are easily satisfied
so, smiley face, they love you
yea, probably they just carn be bothered. -.-

2.next is that Singaporeans are troublesome, but nvr difficult to deal with
they just want to see you put them as your priority,
and wanna see you put in the extra effort
after that, they will shrug their shoulders, have no choice but to accept what you give
for non-singaporeans, even easier.
they do things on their own, and will nvr ask for help unless they have to
so you see the contrast (:

3.and also, most singaporeans are friendly
to an extent that made me flabbergasted
and their million dollar smile were so sweet
really hope they come patronise Pops everyday, haha

anyway been slacking a lot lately
to an extent that i really had nth to do so i came b to write this stupid post
actually wanted to go out badly, but most of my buddies went in for Government's Chalet already
and seeing them inside makes me wanna go in too :(

fked up angry, emo day
not really because i lost my phone
but because of my tendacy to be really careless
mum said i need to be more careful, more vicious
though its still unfound,
i am really glad that no one really scolded me
i mean i know i deserved it cause i was the one who took it out and forgot to put it back in
but still,
mum kept consoling me and telling me it was also time to change to a new phone
while friends kept helping me to search high and low for it
really appreciate it

and i learnt something from this incident.
i always think about why would people make off with other people's thing just like that
and today i know roughly why.
for people like me,
i always thought that doing good deeds pay and just recently my family and i found and returned a n70 (bruised one) to a malay student
and i remember myself rushing my dad to pass the phone to the guy asap the next morning so that he wouldn't panic
but but but,
why didnt the person who take my phone return it to me asap?
he/she could have just dropped it off at the counter since he knows its not his
FUCK
that explains why some people dun return what they take
they become really vicious because they've been thru it before
their definition of 'doing good deeds pay' sucks
and its time my own definition of the phrase changes

phew, life goes on but i really x10 hope someone can return my phone to me
after all, i don't work to lose my phone!

OMG, CHELSEA'S A MTHERFKING TEAM THAT JUST WON'T WIN WHEN I WATCH THEM PLAY FULL GAME

anw the events that was planned on Monday noon and evening were sub-perfect
started off with the treat from my mum who later wanted to buy me this and buy me that
but i just, "i am working, i will have money one."
yea, only then did she stop.
and we came across this room-side shop selling some ulu cream and they just smack some of it on my mum's hand and pulled her to their seats
then they start off with those photos that show the 'before' and 'after' effects...
i mean from the photos, it was really convincing!~
some rough patch can become as smooth as Emmanuelle Chriqui's face just within a day!
but who knows, maybe they switched 'before' and 'after' titles of the photos...HAHAHA
and luckily i was there to stop my mama from taking out her wallet and pay 45 bucks for 3 small bottles of cream that i could have easily made it myself at home with 6 bucks worth of ingredients -.-
BIRTHDAY BOY saves the day (:

then was the sub-perfect part.
went all the way down to bugis to buy a shirt but the stocks' cleared
like it cnnt be found on EARTH anymore. ANYMORE. -.-
wasted some precious immunity time thr.

next was the COMPENSATION for the sub-perfect part
went out to eat at SR GARDENS with
brenda, f2, chiew hong, chris, shi ting, aloysious and jy (HAHA!!!)
ok, started off with the birthday cake! THANKS A LOT, REALLY, FROM THE VERY BTM OF MY HEART (:
and next was oily but damn nice food
and then the CARD! special thanks to brenda and CH for the effort put in (:
